Poncho Completo!

My post on Craftster: Flying Purple Poncho Eater

ETA: Oh yeah, I wanted to mention something else! In finishing this poncho, I learned a new technique for joining yarn. Because the first skein ran out in the front of the poncho, I didn't want to do anything that would be too bulky, like what usually happens when I knot it or overlap the ends of yarn. I also wanted something that would be strong enough to withstand my "horse" roughhousing around. The Russian Join worked out beautifully! If you haven't tried this method yet, give it a shot! I think I will be using it from now on.

What a beautiful poncho! I know how to sew and cross-stitch but I am really wanting to learn how to either crochet or knit. How did you learn? Who taught you?
